Citation for MID: During the period 28th March, 1944 -27th April 1944 whilst the Divison was in the Cassino area, this officer nightly went through the Rapido valley and over the river supervising the control of the Jeep and mule maintenance traffic. He frequently worked under shell and mortar fire but carried on with the work on hand. By his devotion to duty and determination he was largely responsible for the smooth running of the traffic and, in doing so, setting a fine example to all.Capt Comd 78 Div Pro Coy.
