Citation: Middle East. Pioneer Corps.Citation. Between the months of January and June, 1942, in addition to his normal duties as P.L.C.O., Lieut. EMBLEN performed services of exceptional merit by investigating and disclosing abuses connected with the disbursement of public money to civilian labour. The offenders have been sentenced by Court Martial, and by his action, Lieut. EMBLEN has undoubtedly saved the Government many thousands of pounds. He was threatened with bodily harm and carried out his investigations at great personal danger.Recommended by Col. E. A. Gordon. D.D.P.L. British Troops Egypt.
