Citation: | New Year Honour. Lieutenant Colonel (temporary) George Nicholls (202445), HQ SIB, BAOR, Corps of Royal Military Police. Jan 1st - July 31st 1959.Citation: Maj (T/Lt Col) Nichols is responsible for the prevention and investigation of serious crime in BAOR. During the past year, he has shown outstanding zeal and ability in his efforts to carry out this tasks. With the run down of the Army, his SIB sections have become even more widespread than before, and thus his burden of responsibilities has increased more and more. It is entirely due to his exceptional work that the number of offences in this theatre has not risen as it has in some parts of the world. Equally, it is through his untiring ability and dogged perseverance at any time of day or night, that it has been possible to bring offenders to trial. It is for the excellent results which he has achieved that he deserves to be rewarded.Recommended by: PM BAOR. DAG BAOR. Deputy Commander BAOR. |
