| Citation: | Maj. Temp Lt/Col Intelligence Corps, London WC1. GSP I (2) HQ 21 Army Group.Citation (badly hand written). Col. MacDermott was primary responsible for the preparation of the security instructions and co ordination of the security measures for "OVERLORD". The way he tackled many mixed matters and assisted two armies in sorting out -- -- and C/I difficulties was excellent. The degree of -- -- by the landings was attribute to the standard of security. As to Col.
