Provost Operations Clerk, HQ 3 Armd Div.Citation: Sergeant Sheridan assumed his appointment in November 1977 as headquarters 3rd Armoured Division arrived in BAOR. he worked tirelessly during the succeeding year to establish a first class office system for his Branch. He has set u a library of Police Reports, with a detailed indexing system which allows for easy and speedy retrieval; a system which is of great assistance to 'A' Branch as well. This is now a model for all Provost Branches and had been produced out of officer hours. On top of his normal very full workload, Sergeant Sheridan's experience has been sought on all road movement planning in support of training for the Division. Such exercises have been numerous during the past 28 months. Sergeant Sheridan has given his time willingly and generously to this task, producing accurate and detailed plans which would normally be carried out the a Staff Officer. Sergeant Sheridan' has a deep interest in shooting and has voluntarily assisted with a number of Skill at Arms meeting. His organisation of the recording team at the Divisional meeting was of a very high order. He produced faultless scores and results lists in a very guick time. In summary, Sergeant Sheridan's interest in the well-being of the Army community is unquestioned and his leisure time is almost wholly taken u assisting in numerous youth activities. In summary, Sergeant Sheridan produces outstanding results in all fields of activity in which he becomes involved. Sadly, a break in service in the past has limited his promotion prospects. Knowing this, he still continues to provide the very highest lever of service of which hi is capable for the benefit of the service. It is considered the his contribution to the Service richly deserves recognition by an appropriate award.Recommended by: Maj. DAPM, 3 Armd Div. Col. Col AQ, HQ 3 Armd Div. GOC 3 Armd Div. Lt. Gen.
