Jan 76 to date.Citation: Corporal PEAT has been responsible for educating all children attending Primary Schools throughout the British Army of the Rhine in Road Safety since Jan 76. His success in this field has been such that few of the children concerned have been involved in a road accident this year. This remarkable achievement is due to the astonishing enthusiasm, energy and inspiration displayed by Corporal PEAT in giving demonstrations, lectures and infusing everyone, children, teachers and parents with his sincere concern for road safety especially of young children. He has allowed nothing to hinder the achievement of his aim; he has necessarily had to spend long periods away from home, has frequently spent his own money on improving the already high quality of his presentations and equipment and has invariably given his job complete precedence over his domestic life. His whole hearted enthusiasm and devotion to his job has resulted in a very high standard of Road Safety among Primary School children throughout the British Army of the Rhine.Recommended by: Maj.
