Letter 2. from APM 40 Division to PM Aldershot (no date) With reference to the charges brought against A/Cpl Holden MFP I am writing to inform you that the GOC 40 Division had decided not to have the case tried by DCM. But the GOC is of the opinion that the action A/Cpl Holden took shows that he is unfitted for the position he occupies in the Military Police and has therefore instructed me to send him back to HQ together with L/Cpl's Little and Gardener, the two latter men having neglected their duty in not immediately reporting the arrest of their companion to C/Sgt Ford i/c Detachment. I have instructed C/Sgt Ford to send the men to Aldershot tomorrow, and should be obliged if you would kindly send men to take their places. William Holden.
