Dead Soldier is Named.
The soldier who died after being struck by a car in dense fog on the A338 between Collingbourne Ducis and Tidworth has been named as Lance Corporal David Joughin (33).
He was stationed at Tidworth with the Third Division Pro Coy. No other details were available last night.
The car which struck Corporal Joughin as he walked along the road with a friend, failed to stop. He died shortly afterwards.
Last night police renewed their appeal for witnesses to the accident which happened at 2.15 am yesterday.
