No. 4663 and No. 242053. Enlisted age 24.3 years, occupation shown and Pipe Fitter and later Joiner, Home address: 12 Lers Cottage, Ditton, Widnes, Lancashire. 12/8/16, Somme, sustained shrapnel wound to scalp, right side and rupture. He was moving up the line and was hit by a shrapnel ball. Sent to General Hospital Rouen were shrapnel was removed.
