Also served in the 2/5 Border Regiment, 20/12/16 to the Monmouthshire Regiment, 25/11/17 to the Kings Shropshire Light Infantry, served as a Lewis Gunner. 27/5/18 transferred to the MFP, 6 (Cheshire) Area, Western Command. He enlisted age 17 years, occupation printer, home address: 57 Highgate, Kendal, born Kendal. 20/2/19 to class Z reserve. 21/3/18 Arras. whilst re-enforcing the front line he was gassed and taken to 3 Canadian Stationary Hospital, Doulens, and then to 56 General hospital, Etaples.
