James Alexander Will was born in 1885 in Alford, Aberdeenshire where he was born on a farm. He joined the Police Force aged 21, after twelve months he transferred to Bootle Borough Police Force. In 1915 he left the police to join the army in World War I and was in the MMP and MFP. On discharge he returned to the Bootle Police Force. He is shown on the 1911 Census as James A Will, Border, 25, Single, PC Bootle Corporation, born Ilford, Aberdeenshire. Location Central Police Station, Bootle. |
