Citation: Queen's Birthday Honour. 2612402 WI I Percival John Sedgwick, RMP.Citation: RSM Sedgwick has served with the Army for 26 years. He has been a Warrant Officer Class I for 17 years. During the latter period he was employed in an Instructional capacity at the Royal Military Police Depot where he dealt with pupils of all ranks from Lieut Colonel to probationer. An impressive figure, he is well known for his tact, diplomacy and above all the magnificent example which he sets all ranks. The result of this example have been of great value to the Corps and the Service. A helpful and understanding attitude earned him the respect of the thousands of young NCOs who have served under him. Outstanding in all respects, this Warrant Officer sets himself a high standard and maintains it but has always appreciated that those younger than himself lacked experience and needed his help. That help was always forthcoming regardless of how it affected his own personal affairs. By his own efforts over a long and continuous period, he has fulfilled the highest traditions of the Corps and the Service. In his ability to place his subordinates interest before his own, he was and still is , unusual. In his devotion to duty, the Service, and the Corps, and his understanding of young soldiers he has given something which will be difficult to replace - a complete loyalty, regardless of self.Recommended by: Maj.
