Citation: Queen's Birthday Honour. Citation for MBE Korea November 1955 - December 1956, OC Commonwealth Contingent Provost Section: This officer assumed command of 1 COMMONWEALTHL Div Provost Company in KOREA in November 1955 and continued in that capacity after the force became the Commonwealth Contingent, the unit becoming the CCK Provost Section. After 1 Jul 56 Capt Floweth also became responsible for the Base Corrective Establishment at INCHON. Thus for a period of over a year, Capt Floweth was the only RMP officer in the force and held a position of exceptional responsibility, having regard to the composition of this force. His duties also entailed close liaison with the US Army Provost organisation and the Republic of Korea Army and civil authorities, demanding considerable tact and diplomacy. Throughout his tour in KOREA Capt Floweth has carried out a difficult task with outstanding ability. Due to wide dispersal of units, his work entails long journeys over very bad roads and in extremes of climate. It also includes constant patrolling of a large area at all hours of day and night. By his cheerfulness, enthusiasm and integrity he established a cordial relationship with all Commonwealth Components and with the many United Nation's authorities with whom he came in contact. His exemplary conduct and devotion to duty have made a real contribution to the efficient functioning of the Commonwealth forces in KOREA.Brig W B Barlow Commander Commonwealth Contingent.
