| Citation: | Salisbury Plain Area. 1 Jan 53 - 1 Jan 55. Military Police Duties.Sergeant JOHNSON enlisted in the Corps of Military Police in October 1939, and served throughout the war in BEF, MELF, CMF. He has also served in FARELF, and has been with 160 Provost Company (HC) for the past two year. During this period he has carried out all his duties meticulously, conscientiously and thoroughly under all conditions. His loyalty and devotion to duty are of the highest order. During the Territorial training seasons of 1953 and 1954 he voluntarily worked many extra hours tirelessly and cheerfully, often in the most adverse weather conditions, assisting the Territorial Army, and Territorial Provost Companies, thus materially contributing to the success of their annual training. By his example, leadership and drive, he has maintained the highest traditions of the Corps of Royal Military Police and the Army, and has well earned the respect and liking of all ranks with whom he comes into contact. He inspires confidence by his cheerful personality and calmness in times of stress and crisis, and by his consistent high standard of turnout and bearing. He has a wide knowledge of Military Police Duties and willingly gives up his spare time to instruct his juniors. He has on three occasions acted as Company Sergeant Major and has carried out these duties with efficiency in a most exemplary manner.Maj J A Goebbels DMP.
