Citation: | Malaya 1/1/1954 - 30/6/1954 Singapore. Investigator. This NCO has served in the SIB/RMP for a period of 61/2 years, during which time he has successfully dealt with many major investigations which have resulted in the recovery of many thousands of pounds worth of WD stores and property, destined for operatonal units in the Federation as well as those destined for KOREA. As an example of this, in January 1954 S/Sgt KNIGHT investigated a case in JOHORE involving the larceny of a WD vehicle. This case ended with the arrest of a complete gang of receivers of stolen WD property as well as the recovery of the vehicle concerned. Although called out at all hours of the day and night, weekday or Sunday, this NCO has always shown devotion to duty and keenness of a very hight order. The area for which his section is responsible covers not only SINGAPORE, but also the whole of the state of JOHORE. On numerous occasions S/Sgt KNIGHT has had to travel on highly dangerous roads with little or no escort, in the performance of his duties. He sets the highest possible standards at all times, and in all respects his conduct and example are far beyond that called for in the course of normal duties.Maj R B Sexton DAPM SIB FARELF.
