Citation: | United Kingdom. DPM/SIB Sherwood Foresters. DPM SIB London. Citation for OBE: Lt Col F Elliott has been the senior officer of the Special Investigation Branch of the RMP for the last 2 years during which time the many difficulties caused by changes from war to peace conditions have been very apparent both in administration of his own branch and the investigation of crime in the army. Throughout this period, Col Elliott has manintained the highest morale in his branch, and by his personal example has done a great deal to counter crime, also his branch have saved the WD large sums of money, and material. He is 39 years of age and has spent 9 years with the Civil Police, which included 7 years CID experience in the Metropolitan Police and at Scotland Yard and 10 years with the RMP. The nature of his duites brings him into contact with many Senior Police Officers and also Senior Army Officers and his tact has played a big part in the good relationships that exists with the Civil Police.
