A letter dated 5/7/1916 found in his army record states: 36 Cromwell Road, New Southgate, London N. Sir, I am writing to you on behalf of my sister who is lying very ill, to see if you could assist her in any way to claim support for a Son which she gave birth to on the 28th May and he has not wrote to her since the child's been born, she has been told she can claim. Thanking you if you could let me know. Mrs. Young. The father being Pte. T Robinson, 1908, Sharpshooters, 4th Mounted Brigade, BEF, Post Office Alexandria Egypt. A reply dated 10/7/1916 from TF Records London telling her to obtain a Magistrate's Order before stoppage of pay could be enforced. A further document part of a Board of Enquiry into a disturbance in the Idaho Bar, Damascus where L/Cpl Robinson MFP was beaten unconscious and L/Cpl Perkins, MFP was thrown out of an upper floor window and rendered unconscious and one policeman's pistol stolen. Two soldiers from the group were identified as 20523 Cpl McInnes, Machine Gun Company Dorset Regiment and 113240 Gnr, Poynter RA. No other details.
