He claimed for the India General Service Medal with clasp Afghanistan N.W. Frontier 1919 Serving from 7/6/1919 to 3/8/1919 with MFP under Lt Col E Percy-Smith PM Afghan Field Force in Peshawar and Jamrud in HQ North West Frontier Force. His home address in 1919 was Spring Villa, Hawley, Nr Dartford, Kent. Discharged 30/9/1919. His MID medal card in the name of T A Manning. Has a colourful conduct sheet as a youth.
