On Monday evening at a meeting of the Spa Lodge, RAOB ath the Victoria Hotel, Mr M F Parish solicitor, of Harrogate and a prominent member to the order who is leaving Harrogate to join the Military Foot Police at the front, was the recipient of a presentation consisting of an illuminated silver wristlet watch. The presentation was made by Mr J A Middlebrook on behalf of the members who presumed the hope that Mr Parish would return safely back to Harrogate after the war. Mr Parish was also the recipient of a smoking outfit, subscribed for by a few personal friends. In acknowledging the gifts Mr Parish expressed his deep thanks to the donors, and said he was not making the change without some sacrifice in leaving his business, but when the war was over he hoped to return safely to Harrogate and again be amongst friends.
