Thirty members of the County Police Force joined the Colours during the war, The County Chief Constable (Mr W Varney Webb) has arranged for a Roll of Honour, containing the names of the men, the date joining up, name of regiment joined, and particulars as to whether the men were wounded, killed, or received distinctions. The Roll of Honour will be the joint work of Messrs. Leach and Son of St Mary's passage, and Messrs Heffer and Sons, Sidney street, and when finished(probably next week), will be hung in the recreation room of the headquarters. The Roll will be subscribed for by members of the Force who did not served. PC 23 Jethro Linford, Military Foot Police, joined November 6th 1915.
