Statement found in other records: Proceedings of a Court of Enquiry assembled at 4 Advanced Horse Transport Depot, 6/2/1918 enquiring into the circumstances under which No. 1823 Saddler Bonar D became injured by a gunshot wound. 9th Witness. P/10925 L/Cpl Mackenzie A, MMP states: On the 25/2/1918 about 16.30 hrs I was on duty accompanied by L/Cpl Mortimer G, MMP in Dautibli village. On seeing a soldier who was out of bounds L/Cpl Mortimer G, took his No. and rank and ordered him back to camp. Signed A Mackenzie, MMP.
(Saddler Bonar was later found in the village having been found to have been shot by a Greek man. Mackenzie was accompanied by P/8822, L/Cpl Mortimer G, MMP.
