Notes:MFP. Awarded the 1915 Star, Victory and War Medals. First served abroad (1) France, 18/11/1915. The following information was taken from research done by Michael ex RMP who bought Maden's medals: Jerimiah Maden was born 4/7/1879 the 4th born child of 12 children, 8 boys and 4 girls, they lived at 100 Picton Street, Mannigham, Nr Bradford. On leaving school at l4 years he worked for J P Wolfenden a milk dealer at Manningham. 28/9/1900 he joined the Bradford City Police No.PC 303. 25/7/1903 his younger brother James was sentenced to 5 years for manslaughter after killing a man in a pub fight.. 5 of his brothers joined the services in world war one. 27/9/1925 Jerimiah retired from the Police Force after 25 years service and became a draper. In 1919 he married Marguerite Leader at Bradford (not known what happened to her), and re married 1/1/1930 to Elizabeth Coverdale at Halifax and lived at 5 Greenfield Avenue, Aireborough. Jerimiah died age 78 years in 1958.
