A Castleton Sergeant's Advice. In a letter written to a friend at Casleton, Sergeant H MacDonald, who is attached to the Military Foot Police now serving in France, emphasises the necessity for further recruiting. of those available but not yet enlisted he says "It is high time they were called up and stopped hiding themselves behind the fact that they are waiting to be brought up. The country is dependent on these men. My advice to all young men it to roll up and take part in the forthcoming push and fatal blow for a powerful enemy who is now on the wane. Victory is in sight. There has been nothing in history to surpass the excellence and endurance of our troops out here, and you know this spells victory every time.
