At the Dover Police Court on Monday, Albert Kenwright, formerly a Lance Corporal in the Kings Royal Rifle Corps, was summoned by his wife for desertion. Mrs Kenwright said that she married the defendant, who was stationed on the Rhine, at Cologne, when he was in the Military Foot Police, with the Army of Occupation, and came to England with him. He left her, and she found that he was living in London with another women. He had never given her anything. She did not ask for maintenance, her mother sending her something from Germany. An order of separation with out maintenance was given. |
