SERG'F MAJOR'S FRAUD.
IMPRISONED AND DISCHARGED WITH IGNOMINY.
Squadron Sergt. Maj. Arthur Charles Knowles, Military Mounted Police, who was found guilty on five charges of fraudulent misapplication of regimental money at a general court martial at Salisbury recently, was sentenced to be reduced to the ranks, imprisoned without hard labour for nine months, and discharged with ignominy from the service.
The General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command, confirmed the finding and sentence, but remitted four months of the sentence of imprisonment
