Notes:MFP. From West Ealing. Awarded the 1915 Star, Victory and War Medals. First served abroad (1) France, 25/5/1915 (6/5/15 on medal roll page B51) to 11/11/18. Discharged class Z reserve 3/8/1919. Formerly and later served Metropolitan Police. Holder of the Coronation Medal 1937.
Military Police Casualties. Sgt W Jupp, of the MFP, who before joining up in March 1915, was a Constable in the J Division, (Metro), stationed at Leyton, has been wounded in the lower part of the back by a shell, and is now in hospital in France. We are told that he received this "present from Fritz" on the afternoon of the 4th inst., during a heavy bombardment just behind our front line. He is progressing as well as can be expected, and hopes to be back to duty in a few days time. Sgt Jupp has been in France for over three years.

Military Honours. Sgt Jupp, MFP has been decorated with the MM for bravery in the field. Before joining up he was a Constable at Leyton (Metro, J). He has been in France for three and a half years, and is still in good health. He has been wounded once.
