Notes:MFP. Awarded the Victory and War Medals. Later Pte. Royal Lancaster Regt. No. 27550. He was compulsorily transferred to the 1st Kings Own Royal Lancaster Regt at the infantry rates of pay under AO 204 of 1916 for misconduct with effect from 21/1/18. Authority DAG 3rd Ech, CR No. 60085/79/A dated 13/1/18. (Found in docs of P/2737 L/Cpl T Bridge MFP).

BLACKBURN POLICE & THE WAR.
In response to a request from the authorities Mr. C Holden, Blackburn's, Chief Constable, has permitted a further eight men to join the forces as Military Foot Police. These are PC's Richard Holden, Albert Walmsley, John Moscrop, Thomas Bridge, Thomas Edmondson, Chas Thomas Dent. The Blackburn Police have now provided 50 police officers for the forces, one from the fire station and one constable resigned his position to join the Army.
