Sec 19 AA when on active service drunkenness in that at Alexandria on the 14th day of December 1916 when as a policeman on beat duty in the town was drunk. charge 2. Conduct to the prejudice of good order and military discipline in that he at Alexandria, Egypt on the 14 day of September 1916 when acting as a policeman on beat duty in the Maltese quarter of Alexandria from 19.00 hrs to 21.00 hrs did not work his beat properly, not being at the prearranged points of the said beat to meet the visiting Sergeant. Awarded 6 months imprisonment with hard labour. 4 months was later suspended. Transferred to the 1/4 Northamptonshire Regiment. No. 2035448.
