No. 1015 & No. 230358, age 23 years, occupation Gardener, born Abbotsbury, Meymouth, Dorset, address: 212 Middle Street, Yeovil, Somerset. 31/1/1918 to MP School of Instruction, 8/2/1918 transferred to MMP, served Egypt & Palestine. 1/9/1917 telegram to his wife from Nasrich School Hospital, Cairo stating he was dangerously ill with dysentery, 15/9/1917 recovered. Info from other documents: L/Cpl Gill was the 3rd Witness in the fatal shooting of No.961953 Gunner Edward Bolton, RFA at Jerusalem on the 23/4/1919 when L/Cpl Bell accidentally shot him, Bolton had escaped from the Detention Room and was armed. 28/6/1919 awarded £2 on the Fovant No. 4 Demobilization Acquittance Roll.
