After receiving first a parchment testifying to his "devotion to duty in the field, from July 1916, to September, 1916." and the another in recognition of his "gallant conduct and devotion to duty in the field on 21st March, 1918" Corporal Leonard Robinson, of the Military Mounted Police, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Robinson, of Sharnbrook House, Kingsley Avenue, Kettering, has been awarded the Military Medal.

Military Medal CitationP/8093 PRIVATE ACTING LANCE CORPORAL L ROBINSON18 INFANTRY DIVISION MILITARY MOUNTED POLICEOn the 21 March 1918, while in charge of a stragglers' post at Remigny (near Channy, Aise) did excellent work in collecting stragglers under heavy shell fire and returned them to their several units. He remained at his post until ordered to reture owing to the advance of the enemy. It was entirely due to this NCO's bravery and example that these men got back to the line so quickly.Recommended for MM by APM 18th Division.
