Served Home 27/8/1914 to 7/7/1915, Med Exp Force 7/7/1915 to 17/2/1917, Mesopotamia 18/2/1916 to 18/11/1918, Home 19/11/1918 to 3/2/1919, Class Z Reserve 4/2/1919 address: Queen's Arms Hotel, Leigh. 28/9/1897 he married Martha Margaret Thompson, Spinster at the Parish Church, Leigh, Lancashire, 2 children, address 101 Lorne Street, Wigan. A letter in his army record stated: 5/2/1915, Kildare states that he was married, but has been legally separated from his wife for the past 5 years. He mad this statement to the recruiting officer. The wife is now living with another man, by whom she has had children, and does not appear to be a deserving case to receive any allowance. 25/4/1918 he caught smallpox in Mesopotamia.
