In response to a request from the authorities Mr. C Holden, Blackburn's, Chief Constable, has permitted a further eight men to join the forces as Military Foot Police. These are PC's Richard Holden, Albert Walmsley, John Moscrop, Thomas Bridge, Thomas Edmondson, Chas Thomas Dent, William Henry Eastham and Joh Wm. Evans. The Blackburn Police have now provided 50 police officers for the forces, one from the fire station and one constable resigned his position to join the Army. |
