Formerly Sgt Worcestershire Regiment, No. 74510 and No. 9397. France till 17/7/1917, 22/5/1918 hospital Rouen, He is shown as suffering from Neurasthenia 22/5/1918. Subjected to Aerial bombardments, nightly for period of fortnight with consequent loss of rest and overwork during day time, during May 1918. Also to continuous duty throughout the war. 26/5/1918 invalided to UK, 6/10/1918 embarked Southampton, 7/10/1918 Rouen, 22/10/1918 to DAPM Boulogne and Dieppe. 3/1/1919 assumed his true name of George Tonks. 17/10/1919 Marseilles. 23/11/1919 transferred to class Z reserve., 25/11/19 returned to Worcestershire Regiment No. 6397.
