THE LATE MR. J.N. DIGBY - Mayor and Corporation Attend Funeral.
The funeral of Mr. James Newton Digby took place at Mill Road Cemetery on Friday afternoon and was attended by the Major and other members of the Corporation. The first part of the service was held in the chapel at the cemetery and was conducted by the Ref. L. A. C. Roberts (curate of St. Baranbas). The lesson was read by the Rev. S. T. Adams, vicar of Holy Sepulchre. Mr Adams officiated at the graveside.
The immediate mourners were: Second Lieut. F. N.D. Digby, Cambridgeshire Regt. (son), Mr. J.D.V Digby (son), Mr. A E . Orman Sperring (Brother in Law), Mr. W. F. Taylor, Mr. George Smith, and Mr.; Frank Piggott.
Amongst those who were unable to be present were: Corpl. M. N. Digby, of the Military Mounted Police (who was unable to get home from France.)
