The attached extract from the letter of proceeding of the master of Transport "Dongola" for the voyage Malta to Port Said - 1st to 4th October 1913 is forwarded for your information:- " I regret to report the death from Enteritis at 8am today, (4th October 1913) of the infant child aged 6 months, of L/Cpl Costello, 3rd Dragoon Guards. The body will be landed at Port Said for burial, in accordance with the mother's wishes". Signed Col. Percival, for Director of Transport and Movements.
