L/Cpl E Lewis, Military Foot Police, son of Inspector Lewis of the Exeter Police, is the well known Exeter City - Southern league and Devon County soccer amateur. His reward is for devotion to duty when in charge of a Traffic Control Post. He has been in France for two years, and joined up from the clerical department of the Durham County Constabulary. He is an old St John's School Boy Police Review, 17/12/1917, page 388. L/Cpl Lewis (Durham Co.) of the MFP has been awarded the Military Medal. He is a son of Inspector Lewis, Exeter Police. |
