Corporal Eagar of the Military Mounted Police who belongs to Lahard, Beaufort, has received the Military Medal for his action in remaining at his post after being wounded in France.

MILITRY MEDAL PRESENTED AT HALTON - AN IRISH FAMILY'S GALLANT RECORD.
An interesting ceremony was performed at the Military Police Headquarters. West Camp, Halton, on Wednesday morning when Brigadier General J O Bush, CB who now commands the troops at the camp handed to Cpl J C Eager, Military Mounted Police, the Military Medal, which was awarded to him for bravery in the field. General Bush was accompanied by Brigade Major Grieve, and Assistant Provost Marshal England, whilst the Military Police, who were at full strength, paraded under Sergt,-Major Hubert Mills.
Brigadier General Bush said it gave him great pleasure to attend that morning.
