Citation: 17/8/1917 Gallant Conduct. Special notice has been taken of No. P/1465 L/Cpl F Rogers, MFP, IX Corps under the following circumstances: At about 11.55 am on October 11th last, two horses drawing a GS wagon bolted, but were stopped by L/Cpl Rogers at great personal risk to himself. The street at the time was very busy and his plucky action undoubtedly averted serious accidents. An entry of this action will be made in the conduct sheet of L/Cpl Rogers in accordance with King's Regulations. Before the outbreak of war L/Cpl Rogers was serving the the Plymouth Borough Police.
