Citation for MID: By his excellent behaviour under very trying circumstances, this N.C.O. set an excellent example in the Company when under shell fire on the beach at LA PANNE. This N.C.O. carried out his duties with a complete disregard for his personal safety. By his example and devotion to duty he materially assisted in the evacuation of the BEF.
