Notes:   RMP. Died 30/5/2007. He died when a United States Chinook helicopter he was travelling in crashed in the Kajaki area of northern Helmand. He was a photographer attached to the Media Operations team based at Regional Command (South) Kandahar. He was on the aircraft to film the insertion of US troops as part of a wider piece he was producing on a major alliance operation around Kajaki. 1 Canadian and 5 US soldiers also died in the crash. He is buried in Peel Cemetery, Douglas Road, Isle of Man in Section 4, grave D7. Born 27/5/1979. Michael David Gilyeat.
