Lance Corporal Cyril Ball whose home is at Doncaster Road, Woodland has been killed in a motorcycle accident at Hamburg where he was stationed with the Royal Military Police. A National Serviceman L/Cpl Ball was to have been demobbed in 7 weeks time. Before being called up he worked for a Doncaster building firm and was a prominent member of the Doncaster aero club.
