Served Home 29/6/1900 to 16/2/1905, Egypt 17/2/1905 to 20/7/1908, Army Reserve Egypt 21/7/1908, 22/6/1911 died home. Letter found in his army record; British Consulate, Cairo, Egypt. George Rolfe Oakley do solemnly and sincerely declare that I was enlisted on the 29th June 1900 under the name of George Rolfe which name I now declare to be incorrect. The name of George Rolfe Oakley contained in the accompanying certificate of birth, I now declare to be my true name, and I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true, and by virtue of the provision of Act made and passed in the sixth year of the reign of his late Majesty Kind William the Fourth, Chap 62, entitled "The Statutory Declaration Act, 1836.
