Thomas James Simpson. He has the same No. as Pte. W C Minto MMP. Extract from the Portsmouth Evening News, 17/7/1899. Inquest dispensed with in the case of Thomas James Simpson, a Sergeant in the Military Foot Police, who died at the Royal Station Hospital on Thursday last, age 40 years. The deceased had been in hospital since February last, suffering from an abscess of the liver, peritonitis intervened and the deceased died as stated.
