Served Home 14/3/05 to 21/8/14, BEF 22/8/14 to 30/10/14 (wounded in stomach), Home 31/10/14 to 12/1/19. Transferred to MFP 4/7/17. Home address: 69 Russell Street, Birmingham. His wife and 4 children received a pension of 36/3d per week. He was a Warden at the detention barracks, Stafford and resided in Lodgings at 2 George Street, Stafford. He was found dean in bed with another man William Vann. An inquest was held jointly on the two men. The inquest found that he had died through suffocation by burying his face in the pillow during a post-epileptic sleep Vann was thought to have died of a heart attack on waking up and seeing Rees having a fit.
