Served home 16/12/1874 to 31/9/1885, Home 1/10/1885 to 8/3/1886, Egypt 8/3/1886 to 7/1/1887, Home 8/1/1887 to 7/6/1887 to discharge medially unfit. 24/9/1886 suffered concussion of brain at Abbassia, Cairo. Appeared before invaliding board 10/5/1887 at Cambridge Hospital for discharge "concussion of brain (old)". Result recommended for discharge from service. 12/2/1914 he died at Dundee from valvular disease of the heart and bronchitis. David Forbes.
