G D Pillitz was OC 53 (W) Div Pro Coy in Ulster, which he took over on 1/4/1940 he was asked by the Div Commander after red bands and MP flashes had been painted on his units helmets who had ordered the Military Police to paint their helmets like Monkeys bottoms.
