Notes:   RMP. 6 Airborne Div Pro Coy. He enlisted in the General Service Corps, 20/12/1944 transferred to Royal Welch Fusiliers, 11/12/1945 transferred to CMP. 2/3/47 Died. At 20.00 hrs 1/3/1947 a land mind disguised as a kilo stone was detonated in Haifa as a Military Police jeep was passing. Two NCO's were Killed (L/Cpl's Wedge & Ogilvie) and two seriously injured. One of whom died later (L/Cpl Bond) of his wounds. Inscription on gravestone: " you did your duty bravely God bless you" Frederick Henry John Bond.
