DIED IN FRANCE - The death took place in France on November 5th from pneumonia following influenza of Detective Harold Viccars, of the Military Foot Police. He was very well known and had many friends in the village. he joined the London Constabulary in which he was doing well when called out to the front and there he served with the Military Foot Police as a detective. His many friends will deeply deplore his death almost at the time peace was about to be declared. He was the son of PC Viccars, lately of Little Brickhill.
