He was born in Potters Bar, enlisted in Chelsea and resided in London. Died, 16 General Hospital, Alexandria, Army Register of Soldiers' Effects, 1901-1929. Formerly served in the Middlesex Yeomanry, No. 3534 and No. 260354. He is shown on medal card as 1 City of London Yeomanry, No. 3535 and in Commonwealth War Graves roll as Middlesex Hussars with MMP No. P/7556. Inscription on gravestone: Eldest and beloved son of Mary and Ernest Tabernacle. His gravestone has the cap badge of the Middlesex Yeomanry and states Middlesex Yeomanry and Military Police Corps. |
