| Notes: | MMP. Awarded the 1915 Star, Victory and War Medals. First served abroad (3) Egypt, 7/4/1915. Formerly Pte. Dorset Yeomanry. No. 967. He was born in Brixton, enlisted in Sherbourne and resided in Poole, Dorset. Died at the French Hospital, Damascus, Army Register of Soldiers' Effects, 1901-1929. Inscription on private UK gravestone: Memory of ther dearly loved sons of C & F Keene. Clarence who died on active service at Damascus Oct 19th 1918 aged 24 years. Gone but not forgotten. Also has inscription to his Brother and Father.
